Pregnancy Massage
60 Minutes - $95 / 90 Minutes - $125

Pregnancy Massage is a blend of relaxation and remedial techniques which specifically address the aches and pains experienced during pregnancy. It may combine both seated and side-lying massage (to avoid pressure on deep blood vessels). The benefits of pregnancy massage can include relief from muscular discomfort in the lower back, hips and legs; the reduction of stress on weight bearing joints; increased circulation which may reduce swelling of the legs and feet; relief of mental and physical fatigue; prevention of insomnia; and increased relaxation. Regular massage throughout pregnancy is also said to lessen labour time. A pregnancy-friendly blend of lavender and sweet orange essential oils (at a very low % dilution) is used for this treatment.

Relaxation (or Swedish) Massage is about just that, relaxing. It allows you to slow down, take a breath and recover from the stresses of daily life. Relaxation massage incorporates long flowing strokes and pressure that is not too painful - it is not designed to relieve chronic pain or any specific muscular / postural dysfunction. Benefits include an increase in relaxation, decrease in 'fight or flight' hormones, lowering of blood pressure (albeit temporarily), reduction in muscle tension, lowered anxiety and mental stress, improved sleep patterns - just to name a few. A wonderful blend of essential oils including lavender, sweet orange and frankincense is used for this treatment. Please note that relaxation massage treatments are not claimable via health funds.

Reflexology
30 Minutes (Added onto any massage treatment) - $50

Reflexology is a gentle, non-invasive modality where the body is treated primarily through the feet. The Anatomical Reflection Theory states that the body is accurately reflected in the feet which means that any area of imbalance in the body can be addressed via the associated reflex in the feet. There is also a connection to / blending with Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) by including meridians (energetic pathways) and acupressure points. Reflexology treats the body wholistically by addressing imbalances not only at the physical level, but also at a mental, emotional and spiritual level. Benefits of Reflexology include reduced stress and increased relaxation, relief for back / hip / neck / shoulder / arm pain, increased immunity, decreased headaches, improved digestive function and elimination, and improved sleep patterns - just to name a few.
